R U Over it?
What is R U Over It?
R U Over it? is an award winning patron education campaign aimed at raising awareness that drivers can risk being ‘over the limit’ many hours after drinking alcohol.
It is clear that some patrons are unaware of exactly how much alcohol they consume in a night and that their blood alcohol could be still high enough for them to break the law the morning after.
The R U Over it? campaign, first developed and funded by Leeton Council and the Southern NSW Local Health Network, has proven to increase patrons awareness of alcohol consumption and the risks of drink driving.
Specific materials have been developed to support the campaign, including posters, leaflets and coasters. These resources direct patrons to a website with an easy-to-use drinks calculator indicating the time taken before it was safe to drive. A hard-to-wash-off hand stamp can also used to remind patrons to consider whether they were right to drive the next morning.
