Harness Racing NSW (HRNSW)
Harness Racing New South Wales (HRNSW) is established pursuant to the Harness Racing Act 2009.
HRNSW is an autonomous non-government body which is not subject to direction by government. It is responsible for both the regulatory and commercial functions of the harness racing industry in NSW. The Board of HRNSW comprises 5 independent members and the Chairperson is selected by the Board members.
Its main responsibilities are:
- the control, supervision and regulation of harness racing in the State
- the registration of harness racing clubs, harness racing horses, owners, trainers, drivers, bookmakers and other persons associated with harness racing
- the initiation, development and implementation of policies considered conducive to the promotion, strategic development and welfare of the harness racing industry in the State
- allocation of race dates
- distribution of TAB payments received under the Racing Distribution Agreement, and
- developing/reviewing policy in relation to handicapping and breeding.
The HRNSW Chairman is Mr Graeme Campbell and the Chief Executive is Mr Sam Nati.

Metropolitan race meetings are conducted by the NSW Harness Racing Club at Harold Park, Glebe and at Menangle Racecourse. The club races on Friday nights throughout the year, as well as most Tuesdays. Further information may be obtained about the Club on www.haroldpark.com.au
