Investigating community gaming activities

Persons and organisations conducted community gaming activities (lotteries and games of chance) as a fundraising activity, as a social pastime or entertainment, or as a method of promoting the sale or use of products and services. The Office of Charities, NSW Office of Liquor, Gaming and Racing, has powers of inquiry where misconduct and wrongful use of funds and assets, or mismanagement is suspected or alleged, or where non-compliance with the law is suspected or alleged. The Investigating Community Gaming Activities fact sheet explains what you could do if you suspect something is wrong, what we will do, and what powers we have to investigate.

OLGR's website is progressively being updated to reflect the changes following the introduction of new liquor laws in NSW from 1 July 2008.
