Self-exclusion agreements

What are they?

A person who wants to be excluded from a licensed venue can enter into a self-exclusion agreement with the licensee. Under the agreement, the person will be prevented from entering or remaining on the licensed premises. One example of a situation where this may occur is where the person is undertaking a rehabilitation program.

What form should the agreement take?

A self-exclusion agreement must be in the form approved by the Independent Liquor and Gaming Authority. The terms of the agreement are specified in the PDF Self-exclusion from licensed premises agreement form.

How is an agreement terminated?

An excluded person may terminate a self-exclusion agreement at any time in writing by completing the
PDF Self-exclusion from Licensed Premises Notice of Termination of Agreement form.
