Non-trading venues

If a licensed premises, other than a limited licence, stops trading for more than 6 weeks, the licensee must notify the Casino Liquor and Gaming Control Authority. Instances where a venue may cease to trade include where a business or premises is being sold, or undergoing a major renovation.

Maximum court penalties of $5,500 apply where a licensee does not notify the Authority that the premises has ceased trading.
