Local government and council

Local councils have an important role in the operation of the NSW liquor laws. The determination of development approvals under the planning laws for licensed venues and the provisions of submissions by councils to the Casino, Liquor & Gaming Authority, will affect the outcome of liquor licensing applications.

The Liquor Act 2007 focuses strongly on the community.
