Notice Under Clause 46(6) of the Gaming Machines Regulation
By 2 October 2002, every club and hotel must display a notice in all gaming machine areas that contains information about:
- the name and contact details of the problem gambling treatment service with which the venue has made arrangements as outlined above;
- a statement advising patrons that a self-exclusion scheme is available in the venue for the benefit of patrons who wish to be prevented from entering or remaining in a nominated area of the venue (or the whole venue) for the purposes of assisting patrons to control their gambling; and
- the name and contact details of a person or body who is able to assist patrons with becoming participants in a self-exclusion scheme in the club or hotel. This may include the duty manager of the venue if that person has satisfactorily completed the approved training course in responsible gambling as required by clause 51 of the Regulation.
The dimensions specified for the clause 26 notice would be appropriate for a notice under clause 46(6). The dimensions specified for the clause 26 notice are at least 42 centimetres by 29.5 centimetres in size and the matter contained in the notice in letters and figures of not less that 0.6 centimetres in height.
