Financial arrangements for the acquisition of gaming machines

On 20 September 2001 the Liquor Administration Board embarked on a review of the existing approved financial arrangements for the acquisition of gaming machines. As is normal Board practice, the Board sought relevant industry and government comment.

The Board, having received industry and government comments, has determined that the financial arrangements for the acquisition of gaming machines will remain in their present terms for now.

This guideline Financial arrangements for the acquisition of gaming machines provides the existing approved financial arrangements for the acquisition of gaming machines under section 72 (1) and (2) of the Gaming Machines Act 2001 for the acquisition of gaming machines by hoteliers and registered clubs.

The arrangements are identical to those which the Board had approved previously under repealed provisions of the Liquor Act 1982 and Registered Clubs Act 1976.
